Welcome to The Bird Feed

Welcome to The Bird Feed

We’re so excited to launch our first blog! We named it “The Bird Feed” with the intention of bringing you behind the scenes of our boutique by introducing you to our favorite designers and makers, giving out lifestyle advice, gift ideas, fashion tips and any other fun ideas that we think you would enjoy.

As the owner of Little Birdies, I chose to open a children’s boutique because I fell in love with how playful you could be with children’s clothing. Who can resist a dress with strawberries or a romper with whales? Children’s clothing is so fun, it’s like selling cupcakes all day! And with my love for children’s clothes, Little Birdies Boutique was born.

Little Birdies first opened in Georgetown in 2013, and will celebrate its 5th anniversary this year. We chose Georgetown for our boutique location because of its beauty and old world charm. Every street has its own character with cobblestone details and federal style architecture. We knew it was perfect for our classic clothing aesthetic.

We’ve carefully curated a selection of the best children’s brands and love to discover new, unique ones. We try to be different by creating a collection of products not over-saturated in the industry by bringing in Liberty Print fabrics from France, superhero capes from Savannah, Georgia and toys from Australia, as well as many other brands and products.

In January of 2018, we launched our own brand: Pineapple Sunshine. Pineapple Sunshine is a fashionable layette brand that focuses on quality and details. The line offers hand smocked and embroidered pieces made out of 100% Pima cotton, the softest cotton on the market.

Pineapple Sunshine also allows us to add more of our personality to what we are selling, with fun prints such as hedgehogs and alpacas (look out for this new print in the Fall!) We’ll go live with our first post this week. We are looking forward to developing our story through the blog. Stay tuned!
