[Little Birdies Boutique, LLC] ("Little Birdies," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through shoplittlebirdies.com (the "Site"), our stores, and our communications with you; how we use and share it; and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site or making a purchase, you agree to this Policy.

Information you give us

  • Contact and account details: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, account password.
  • Order and payment details: items purchased, order history, and payment information. Full card numbers are processed by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
  • Gift and registry details: recipient names and addresses, gift messages, registry information, and event dates you choose to share.
  • Personalization details: names, initials, or other information submitted for monogramming or custom items.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, text, phone, social media, or through the Site, including reviews and photos you submit.
  • Marketing preferences: your email and SMS subscription choices.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browsing data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed, time on Site, and clicks.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Location: approximate location inferred from your IP address.

3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in the following ways:

  • Service providers that help us run our business: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, email and SMS platforms, analytics providers, customer-service tools, review and registry platforms, and monogramming or manufacturing partners. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Advertising partners such as Meta, Google, and Pinterest, which may collect information through cookies and pixels to deliver and measure ads. Under some state laws, this is considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or "targeted advertising," and you may opt out as described in Section 7.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Little Birdies, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred to the successor.
  • With your direction: for example, when you ask us to ship a gift to someone or share a registry.

4. Marketing Communications & Your Choices

  • Email: you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email. You will continue to receive transactional emails about your orders.
  • Text messages: by opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help.
  • Targeted advertising: see Section 7 and our Cookie Policy for opt-out options.

5. Children's Privacy
We sell products for children, but our Site and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts or make purchases. Information you provide about your child, such as a name for monogramming, a birthday for a registry, or a photo in a review, is collected from you as the parent or guardian and is used only for the purpose you provided it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information directly, contact us at hello@shoplittlebirdies.c o m and we will delete it.

6. Data Retention
We keep personal information as long as needed for the purposes described above, including to maintain your account, comply with tax and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order records are generally retained for [seven] years. Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or your account becomes inactive for an extended period.

7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Receive a portable copy of your information.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Appeal a decision we make about your request.

Residents of Virginia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with consumer privacy laws may exercise these rights by emailing hello@shoplittlebirdies.c o m with the subject line "Privacy Request" or by using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the Site footer. We will verify your identity before responding, typically by confirming details associated with your account or order, and will respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response; we will respond to appeals within 45 days. We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising and sale/sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents: in the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 1, used them for the purposes in Section 2, and disclosed them to the parties in Section 3. We "share" identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not sell personal information for money. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf with written permission.

8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including SSL encryption, PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links & Platforms
The Site may link to other websites and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information.

10. Users Outside the United States
The Site is hosted and operated in the United States and intended for U.S. customers. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site or notify you by email. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
